Guidelines for Participation at Women In Charge

Women In Charge requires participants to be at least 16 years of age, free from chemical dependence, and willing to make a commitment to the program. Women also must follow other policies in place to ensure their enrollment such as:

  • Attendance Policy:  Participants are required to attend a minimum of four full days within a two week period. Extensive absence will result in the loss of your spot in the program. (Exceptions to this policy will be made in cases of illness or prearranged absences. Participants are expected to attend the entire day and attend every class.
  • Lunch Policy:  All participants should bring a sack lunch to eat during our lunch period from 12-12:30 daily. Everyone, staff and all, eat together in the lunch room for social interaction and bonding on a more personal level. Participants are NOT allowed to leave during the lunch break.
  • Bus/MetroLink Passes:  Participants receiving Bus/MetroLink passes from Women In Charge are required to attend a minimum of four hours a day. Anyone given passes but does not use them for transportation to and from Women In Charge will lose the privilege of receiving free transportation.
  • Academic Progress:  All participants are expected to make academic progress for every 60 hours of classroom time. Those not showing any progress will be evaluated.
