Grace Souza is the Executive Director of Women in Charge, where she is committed to empowering women to achieve independence and transform their lives. With a background in managing volunteer programs and community engagement at organizations like Adler Planetarium and PAWS Chicago, Grace brings a wealth of experience in organizational leadership and program development to her role. Grace’s leadership ensures that Women in Charge continues to provide a nurturing environment and impactful programs for the women and men it serves.
Mary King
Mary King is the Director of the HiSET Program at Women in Charge. Previously, she taught all core subjects for 30 years, 29 of them for special school districts. Mary is a dedicated educator with a long history of fostering success for students of all ages. She combines her extensive experience with genuine compassion and excellent interpersonal skills to effectively support and connect with her students. Mary’s impact on the organization is significant; she is known for her willingness to consistently go the extra mile to make sure that students and volunteers feel supported and valued.
Jimmie Calmese
Jimmie Calmese is the Development Director at Women in Charge, where he is dedicated to securing resources and building support to empower women in the St. Louis Metropolitan area. His passion for nonprofit development is demonstrated by his extensive experience in grant writing, fundraising, and strategic planning, gained through roles at organizations like St. Patrick Center and Wesley House Association. Jimmie is committed to advancing the mission of Women in Charge and ensuring its continued success.
